||A timeline in which Alice was born in the era of damsels in distress and knights in shining armor||
Alice Weaver is the daughter of a minor noble, whose family were once simple merchants that specialized in fine fabrics and tapestries. Several generations ago, the Weaver family was raised to nobility after her great-grandfather used his contacts and business dealings to gather information that eventually uncovered a plot to overthrow the king. As thanks, great-grandfather Weaver was made a baron, and the family was granted a parcel of the kingdom's land to govern and protect. Since then, the family has proved to be efficient and kind leaders to the villagers of their land, the Barony is one of the most economically successful parts of the kingdom.
Alice was raised to be kind, self-sufficient, and helpful, traits which often set her apart as a bit of an odd duck to many members of the court. She can often be found in the kitchens or out and about in the barony, speaking with the servants and villagers, learning about them and helping out where she can; she is well-loved by her people. While she is too clumsy to ever be considered elegant and graceful, Alice's kind heart and sweet demeanor more than make up for all the times she's accidentally trod on someone's toes. She has an artistic soul, with a particular talent for music and art. An accomplished horsewoman, Alice's gentle nature makes her very good with animals, as well as young children, who adore her for her sense of humor and the whimsical tales she'll tell. She is a dreamer, which means she can often be absentminded, and she can be quite awkward in conversation, but her hear is in the right place. Alice is the jewel of the Weaver family, a young woman who's heart of gold and love of life have charmed all those who've visited the Weaver's home.
